It tells the fascinating story of a hedonistic Indian guru aka Bhagwan whose cult followers, led by his dynamic secretary, Ma Anand Sheela established the independent city of Rajneeshpuram in the United States and later tried to take over an entire county in the US state of Oregon. Netflix's Wild Wild Country has been all the rave for the past month and anyone who has watched the series will tell you that it is worth all the praises and more. The latest one to fail in the attempt is Netflix's six-part docu-series, Wild Wild Country. After facing various criticisms by 1981, Rajneesh’s ashram hosted 30,000 visitors per year, and majority of audiences were from European and American. He secured a teaching post at Raipur Sanskrit College and was soon told to transfer from the college by the vice chancellor, because he considered him a danger to ‘students’ morality, character and religion. Since childhood he was kept with his grandparents and when he was seven his grandfather died so he was taken to Gadarwara to live with his parents. He is the eldest of eleven children of a cloth merchant and his wife in Kuchwada, a small Indian village in the Raisen district, Madhya Pradesh. Osho encouraged open attitude towards sexuality, due to which he was criticized by Indian press and he earned a name ‘Sex guru’. Osho was born as Chandra Mohan Jain on 11 December 1931 and was also known as Acharya Rajneesh from the 1960s onwards, as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh during the 1970s and 1980s, and latter was known as Osho.
